Take Your Experience to the Next Level!
Volunteers are a great way to support the Flint RiverQuarium. It's an exciting way to meet new friends, enjoy a behind-the-scenes RiverQuarium experience, and learn more about the animals and exhibits. We are always seeking volunteers to help with public interactions, animal care, dive shows, and special events. We welcome volunteers ages 13 and up.
Find a position below that interests you. Then, use the form below to apply. Have questions? Contact the Flint RiverQuarium volunteer coordinator at (229) 639-2650.
There are always events, tasks, and regular beautification that can use an extra hand. We welcome help from groups or individuals.
Extreme Team Diver
Be a part of the RiverQuarium Extreme Team. Feed the fish, keep the Blue Hole sparkling clean, and entertain and educate visitors during live dive presentations. Divers must be experienced and certified.
Husbandry assistants are trained to provide daily care to our animals and assist in maintaining exhibits.
Adult education volunteers provide guests with one-of-a-kind experiences by interpreting exhibits and facilitating live animal encounters.

Jr. Zookeepers must attend a mandatory training session. Dues are $75 for first year (includes 2 t shirts & a water bottle) and 2nd- 5th year dues are $50 per year.
